Saturday Sketch Card: Reindeer

For today's challenge I was inspired by two blogs
and of course i could use more of that design paper that I
have lying around and never seems to finish.
The first challenge is this sketch challenge on the

And seeing the Michael Strong reindeer stamp I used

I noticed it fits the Just Add Ink challenge too!

The reindeer stamp comes with a large and a small one,
so perfect to use inside the card.

I was not going to throw away the little strips
I cut of , but  used them to decorate the inside too.

Torn Paper for Christmas

Every month there is a technique challenge on the
This month the technique is called torn paper and you find all
the details on the blog HERE.
I made 3 cards with this fun technique.
Grabbed some papers out of my Club Scrap box and the
I started with cutting a 12x12 piece of blue scrapbook paper
into 3 strips of 4 x 12 inch and folded each in half to make
three cards.

Card #1
I still had a gnoom left from my other Christmas  cards
I made for the Card Folio last month and I came up
with this fun idea of the the peeping gnoom.
I embossed the white paper with snowflakes,
colored it a little blue and teared all sides.
Then I made the hole in the middle and taped
the gnoom behind it. The sentiment is from the
Scandinavian Holiday Stamps and punched out
and taped to the card.
The baker's twine is from my stash.

Card #2
Again I started with an embossed snowflake background.
Next I ripped two pieces of paper for the bottom to
look like snow by adding a little blue ink to the torn borders.
The reindeer is stamped in beown and cut out.
With foam tape I added the animal to the card.
The sentiment is punched out and one side is also torn
to fit with the border of the card.

Card #3
For this card I took 3 pieces of paper and
stamped the snowflake stamps from the Scandinavian
Holiday stamps on all of the papers. Next the paper was
torn into strips and made into a background for this card.
The trees are stamped with versamark on dark blue paper
and embossed in white. Cut out by hand and added to the
card with foam tape. The sentiment is also embossed in white.
The card is finsihed of with some hemp from my stash.

Birthday Pizza

Today I share a card with you  that I made for a sketch
challenge and is a great male card for a birthday.
I used the stamps and papers from Club Scrap's
Trattoiria November kit.

You find the stamps HERE and HERE.
I colored the pizza with my zig waterbrush markers.
The red background is a panel I had left over from
printing the digital backgrounds and was perfect to use here.
The baker's twine is from my stash and makes all the colors
together so Italian.

This is the sketch I used from the

Don't you love this sentiment?!

And here is the inside of the card with some left over
pizza parts and a hand drawn line around the border.
The sentiment comes with the stamps.

Thank you for looking
and have a delicious creative day!

Owl I want for Christmas is .....

Just in the nick of time I made my card for
the progressive challenge on

the Limited Runs Facebook group.
I was inspired by the sketch challenge

On the front of the cardI used the owl image of the progressive challenge
and some lovely Christmas design paper. The branches are thinlit dies
by Tim Holtz and the sentiment is printed with the computer.
Not only did I decorate the outside,

I also made an owl for the inside!
Both owls are colored in photoshop and cut out
after printing.

Sketch Sunday: FMS #312

Today I go for the sketch on the FMS blog
and this one is so much fun I made two cards!

You find all the details and more inspiration on the
For my cards I used some design paper blocks
( I try not to buy any new ones this year)
and Michael Strong rubber stamps.
The sentiments from both cards are from
the Words & Phrases set and on this card
I also used the Snow Pals rubber stamp.
The snowman is colored with markers and
cut out by hand with scissors.

For this card I used the middle size tree of the
Cloisonné Christmas Tree set. I used versamark
ink and embossed the tree in white. Then using the matching
metal die to cut the tree. The tree is decorated with
red sticky gemstones.

11 November: St. Martin's treats

Today we have a special childrens festival in The Netherlands
that is called St. Martin's Day and you find all info about it HERE.
It is a bit like Halloween, kids go with paper lanterns
and sing after knocking  at the doors in the neighberhood and get
candy treats. So this is what I came up with for this year:

Two kinds of packes.
The first one is a cover for a lollypop.
It starts with a strip of cardstock of 9 x 2 inch of your color choice.
Then score the long side on: 3 5/8 - 4 3/8 - 8 1/8 - 8 1/4"
On the top you make a little whole between the two thin
lines for the sticks. Next I stamped the circle of Michael Strong
in red on blue paper. Next cut it with a circle die.
For decoration i found an image of paper lanterns on
google and printed it on copy paper and cut it to size
to glue to the front and the back of the treat bag.
To finish the paper lanterns I glued tiny black strips
on top and bottom, made a whole in the top for a piece
of backers twine,

Here you see the finished paper lanterns that go on
the treat bag with a piece of foam tape.

Finished bags with lollypops inside.
On top the message says Happy St. Martin's Day.

Side view!

One more side view.

These are the other bags I made . It is a 6x6 inch piece
of designers cardstock just folded into a square package
with candy inside and tese cute Love Cynthia digital
images on the front. I have printed them and cut out.
The moon is made with a circle punch.
In the corner of the pouch I made a whole to put a ribbon
through with either a wish attached or a bat.
